Type 92S self-powered control valves are piston actuated for high cycle steam service. Type 92S control valves and pilot use lapped seating surfaces that have been proven to minimize seat leakage. Types 6492H and 6492L pilots have bellows sealed stems to eliminate stem guide friction.
The steel and stainless steel Type 92S control valves are available with a set point range of up to 250 psig / 17,2 bar and a maximum temperature of 650º F / 343º C.
Type 92S control valves can be used as a working monitor by adding a second Type 6492 pilot. The intermediate pressure must be high enough to meet the minimum differential pressure requirement of the second regulator. Pilot supply for the second regulator can be connected to the upstream system. When intermediate pressure may be too low (minimum differential pressure is pilot supply pressure minus outlet pressure).
These valves should be used with clear, dry or superheated steam.
